Your new role

• Ensure timely and compliant processing of invoices, journals, and T&E claims in line with bank policy and local regulations.
• Maintain strong controls to prevent fraud, bribery, duplicate or invalid payments; recover incorrect payments promptly
• Guarantee accuracy and integrity of financial transactions in Accounts Payable and General Ledger systems.
• Provide accurate management information, variance analysis, and trend reporting to support operational decisions.
• Respond to complex internal/external enquiries and audit requests; resolve non-routine issues effectively.
• Drive process standardisation, automation, and compliance; align local processes with Group standards.
• Manage local projects, system changes, and productivity improvements in collaboration with other departments.
• Ensure effective engagement with outsourced resources and adherence to published service levels.
• Monitor and report operational losses, near misses, and escalating risks per Group policy.
• Support initiatives for cost reduction, increased efficiency, and behavioural change towards standardised processes.

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years of experience in Accounting
• Fluent in Japanese and business English
• Report to the head of Procurement
• Manage a team of 4 professionals
