Overview:
The Securitized and Short Duration Income team at Pioneer Investments is looking for an Associate Portfolio Manager to focus on credit underwriting, trade execution, sector allocation, and surveillance within Asset-Backed Securities (ABS). Based in Boston, MA, this person will work closely with the other members of the team to assist in making investment decisions within dedicated securitized credit portfolios, short duration portfolios, and multi-sector fixed income portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Perform credit analysis for various securities across the ABS market (consumer loans, auto loans, equipment finance, digital infrastructure, etcetera).
- Assess strengths and weaknesses of collateral quality, securitization structures, and issuer optionality within ABS.
- Underwrite financial strength of the various sponsors that contribute collateral to ABS.
- Make sector overweight/underweight recommendations across client portfolios.
- Execute trades in the primary and secondary market. Build and maintain relationships with sell-side research, trading desks, rating agencies, issuers, and other industry participants.

The target base salary range for this position is $120k-190k. Salaries are determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as finance, economics, mathematics, or engineering.
- 3-8 years of experience in a role related to originating, structuring, or analyzing ABS, or 3-8 years of experience in a corporate credit analyst role in a sector that overlaps with the ABS markets.
- Ability to take risk and make decisions under pressure.
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, and exceptional work ethic.
- Master’s degree, CFA charterholder or progress towards the CFA designation preferred.
