Description
This is a standout opportunity to join a leading national practice as an M&A Tax Director within a well-established and growing Corporate & Transaction Tax team based in Central London. You will be instrumental in delivering high-calibre transaction tax services to private equity clients and acquisitive corporates across a wide range of sectors.With a focused growth strategy in place, this role offers a platform to make a meaningful impact, lead complex engagements, and contribute to the development of the firm's market presence within M&A Tax.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and deliver a range of buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence and tax structuring projects, collaborating with specialists across VAT, Employment Tax, and wider Transaction Services.
- Manage client onboarding, engagement procedures and oversee risk management across all assignments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and proactive management of expectations.
- Drive business development by cultivating your own network, identifying opportunities, and supporting cross-selling initiatives across the firm.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members, supporting their development and technical growth.
- Contribute to key strategic client relationships, including major private equity accounts, and support the enhancement of the firm's Transaction Tax profile.
- Proven experience leading complex tax due diligence and structuring projects, ideally across a range of sectors.
- Strong background in managing client take-on, engagement procedures, and risk across multiple assignments.
- Excellent client management skills, with the ability to anticipate needs, communicate clearly and foster long-term relationships.
- Experience contributing to legal documentation, forecasting models, and transaction deliverables.
- Deep and current knowledge of UK tax legislation, including specialist expertise in transactional tax matters.
- Demonstrable experience in managing both projects and teams.
- CTA and/or ACA qualification, or equivalent, ideally combined with degree-level education.
