Operational Due Diligence Analyst - Hedge Funds

A long term oriented single family office investment firm is seeking an Operational Due Diligence Analyst to join its hedge fund research team. The firm focuses on delivering consistent returns with strong downside risk management and operates within a collaborative, research driven environment. The role sits within a small team and offers broad exposure across hedge fund manager research and due diligence.

The position focuses primarily on operational due diligence, including detailed reviews of hedge fund managers, fund structures and operating infrastructure. The successful candidate will also support wider research activities and gain exposure to investment due diligence, including performance analysis and fund research, with training provided.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Conduct in depth operational due diligence on hedge fund managers, including reviews of firm structure, governance and ownership
• Lead and contribute to due diligence meetings with investment managers and key service providers
• Review fund terms, legal documentation, trade flows, internal controls and compliance frameworks
• Assess counterparty relationships, operational resilience, business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements
• Analyse cybersecurity practices, AI usage and emerging operational risks, while supporting broader hedge fund research and monitoring

Candidate Requirements:

• Background in investment management, operational due diligence, operations, risk, audit or accounting
• Experience preparing or contributing to operational due diligence reviews
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting findings
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience within hedge funds or asset management
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Willingness to learn investment due diligence and broader research processes
• Able to work independently within a small, collaborative team
