We are currently partnering with a seasoned private equity real estate firm in Mexico, recognized for its strong footprint in the industrial real estate sector. Our client has created a new position for a portfolio manager who will play a key role in driving the strategic management and growth of the industrial portfolio across Mexico's main and emerging markets. This position is based in Mexico City, with national coverage. What the job involves
- Define and implement the strategic vision for the industrial land portfolio, ensuring long-term value creation and alignment with corporate investment objectives
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of industrial real estate investment and land reserve sales opportunities across Mexico's main and emerging markets, with a particular focus on assets linked to the nearshoring trend
- Oversee comprehensive risk analyses covering market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and macroeconomic indicators to minimize exposure and safeguard portfolio performance
- Target and strengthen the fund's positioning in Mexico City's metropolitan area (including Estado de México), Monterrey, Guadalajara, Bajío, and Northern Mexico, key regions for large-scale logistics and manufacturing investments
- Capitalize on expansion opportunities in areas such as Toluca and Lerma, driven by infrastructure development and increasing industrial demand
- Identify and acquire strategic properties that support the accelerated demand from foreign companies relocating operations to Mexico, particularly in logistics and light manufacturing sectors
- Thorough knowledge and experience in Mexico's industrial real estate landscape, including key market players, regional dynamics, and current trends. Specific expertise in logistics and light manufacturing sectors is a plus
- Solid understanding of real estate project economics, capable of mid-term planning and ensuring the right property-client alignment with ample experience in financial evaluation, risk analysis, and use of predictive tools to anticipate market behavior
- Skilled in leveraging data analytics, market intelligence, and technology, including spatial and territorial analysis tools, to identify opportunities, optimize portfolio performance, and support evidence-based investment decisions
- Proven leadership to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage external partners, and communicate strategies and results effectively to senior management and investors
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required
