Description
Position Summary:
The Investment Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and the execution of investment strategies to meet client objectives. They will represent the firm in prospective and existing client meetings, deliver presentations to educate and communicate the firm’s investment strategies, portfolio performance, and recommendations. This position will collaborate with financial planners through our team-based approach to deliver holistic wealth management solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Lead portfolio design and asset allocation strategies across all client segments
- Review portfolios and identify accounts that require rebalancing and execute trades to bring portfolios in line with target allocations
- Maintain client relationships by providing exceptional client service
- Communicate the F&M investment story to prospective clients
- Conduct investment research across all asset classes
- Assist in the evaluation of investment offerings, including ETFs, mutual funds, and private investments
- Monitor portfolio performance and provide overall investment reviews during client meetings
- Collaborate with financial planners to customize portfolios based on client goals and tax considerations
- Proactively engage with clients to deepen relationships
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- CFA® charterholder
- Experience in working with external clients
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Experience in portfolio management and investment research
- Knowledge of using portfolio management tools or systems (e.g. Tamarac)
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in all necessary applications (MS Office, etc.)
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadline
- Adhere to ethical and confidentiality standards
