Description
Being part of HSBC in Switzerland, you'll help evolve and grow our business.The Private Equity Senior Officer is expected to support the activities on Private Equity Funds and all related inherent tasks such as the capital call and distribution bookings, corporate actions and transfers free of payments. He is responsible to communicate, follow up and report all mandatory and voluntary Corporate Actions events as well as the Private Equity ones (capital calls, distributions, NAV valuations).

What you will do:
- Responsible of the end to end private equity processes from the subscription until the liquidation of the fund
- Coordinate all information related to Private equity fund (capital calls / distributions / corporate events) and keep the various stakeholders informed.
- Review, coordinate and process pricing and valuations on assets with accuracy.
- Oversight of the offshored operations on Private Equity, assist the offshore private equity team on specific cases and follow their resolutions in a timely manner.
- Analyze the root cause of service issues and determine the correct course of action to prevent it from recurring
- Provide efficient, timely and precise responses to all inquiries raised by external counterparties as well as those raised by internal department within the bank
- Handle the KYC / AML requests linked to the investments
- Manage the subscriptions and transfers on Private Equity products and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure a smooth execution
In this role you will:
- Suggest ways to improve efficiency in the department by proposing enhanced work methods, improved accounting process and better use of tools.
- Stay constantly updated with latest financial rules and tax regulations.
- Constantly identify and mitigate risk wherever possible especially when it comes to treating sensitive files
- Keep up to date with private equity rules and procedures. Share knowledge with other team members and help them to perform their job accurately and efficiently.
- Lead changes by gathering information, analysing and assessing the impact of any changes on business and propose solutions.
- Promote changes within the team.
- Endeavour to do better than our competitors by providing the best service to our clients.
You should apply if you have:
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of the banking industry and the private equity product
- Fluent in English and French. Any other language would be a plus.
- Computer skills: MS Office.
- Analytical skills and well organized.
- Good communication skills, team player and client oriented.
- Exhibits commitment and resilience, especially when facing stressful situations
- Polyvalent and fast-learner : ability to quickly adapt to multiple tasks and evolving working situations
- Able to create relationships and channels of communication with key interfaces and stakeholders
