Renewable Portfolio Manager - Berlin, Germany (full-time)
We are looking for a Renewable Portfolio Manager with strong understanding of power markets to our growing Berlin office. This role will sit in the Engelhart Renewable Portfolio Management team and work closely together with the origination, trading, systematic, risk, and credit teams.
This will be a full-time role, owning the following responsibilities:
What will you do?
- Over time, you will take ownership of performance for a renewables portfolio for a European region.
- You will price the balancing risk of fluctuating renewables for your region, to build a diversified portfolio.
- You will take responsibility for daily strategy definition, in cooperation with our meteorologists and trading teams.
- You perform daily operational checks to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of the platform.
- You monitor the daily PnL of the portfolio, reporting it to stakeholders in the organization.
- You identify market developments, trends and arising commercial opportunities to drive the performance of your region.
- With your ideas for business cases and trading strategies, you will contribute to the development of our renewable power management platform.
About You
This person will be commercially-driven, with a strong quantitative mindset and programming experience.
What do you need?
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in engineering, mathematics, economics, or related fields.
- Excellent quantitative, commercial and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of power markets.
- Strong analytical mindset with programming experience (Python preferred).
- Strong commercial focus, ideally with portfolio management or energy trading experience in Europe.
- Fluent English language skills.
